Downloading and Installing SPSS on Windows

  1. Download the SPSS software via the UOG IT website
  2. After the package is finished downloading, double-click the zip file (SPSS_Statistics_win64.exe.zip file). Double-click on the application file after it unzips to open the SPSS Installer Wizard.



Click "Next."


  1. Click "I accept the terms in the license agreement." Click "Next."



  1. Click "Next" on the destination folder screen. You want to keep it on your C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS Statistics\ folder.



  1. Click "Install" to begin the installation.



  1. Click "Finish" to finish the installation.



  1. Click on "Launch License Wizard" to Activate IBM SPSS Statistics.



  1. Click "Next" on the License Status screen.



  1. Choose "Authorized user license" at the top. Click "Next."



  1. Enter the provided code in the top box. (If you do not have the code, please email helpdesk@triton.uog.edu to request the code.) Click the "Add" button, then "Next."



  1. You should then see an "Authorization succeeded" message. Click "Next."



  1. You will see a "Licensing Completed" window. Click "Finish."



  1. You should have an SPSS icon on your desktop. If you don't, the software will live in your Apps and Features folder, under IBM SPSS Statistics.
