Using UOG’s VPN Service (Android)
Email the UOG Network Operations Center at uognoc@triton.uog.edu to request an OVPN file. This file will be needed in future steps. Include a statement that you would like to use the UOG VPN with an Android device.
After confirming your identity, UOG NOC will email you an OVPN file. Download this file to your Android device.
Open the Play Store app on your phone and search for “Open VPN” and install it.
Open the app then swipe left to go to the ‘upload file’ tab and tap on browse.
Navigate to your downloads folder and select the chariot.uog.edu.OVPN file.
Tap on OK to import the OVPN profile.
Enter your username. Check the save password option if you would like the app to remember your password. Then tap connect.
Tap on continue.
Tap on OK.
You have successfully connected to UOG’s VPN service.
To disconnect, tap on the toggle bar, then hit confirm.
To reconnect, just toggle it back on.
